WHO FITS THE CHAINS, AND WHEN?
The chauffer will fit the snow chains
as directed by roadside signs or traffic controllers on the mountain. The
chains are fitted to the drive wheels of our vehicles. The driver
may ask the passengers to temporarily exit the vehicle whilst fitting
the chains to allow enough clearance around the wheels to secure the
chains. The Ford Territory is an All Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicle and
is not required by law to fit chains where 2 wheel drive vehicles do,
however they may be fitted if the chauffeur deems it necessary.
WHAT ABOUT GATE / RESORT ENTRY FEES?
RESORT ENTRY FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN ANY
OR SEDAN, TERRITORY OR LIMO HIRE. These fees are payable by the passengers upon entry to the resort.
WHERE DO I GET DROPPED OFF/ PICKED
UP FROM ON THE MOUNTAIN?
Our Falls Creek services provide transport to the
OVERSNOW TERMINAL in the main carpark. From here you can catch their
oversnow services to take you and your luggage to your lodge.
This is also the meeting point for all transfers coming down the
mountain. visit oversnow website

If you are
staying at Quay West, Alpine
Treetops, Alpine Woodsmoke or Falls
Creek Country Club, we can drop you
directly at your accomodation
(pending road conditions)
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET TO FALLS
CREEK?
Times can vary depending on road, weather & traffic
conditions. Also there may be delays if chains have to be fitted or
removed.
ALBURY-FALLS - We allow 2 hours travel time, in bad
weather allow min 3hrs
TULLAMARINE-FALLS - We allow 5hrs travel time, in bad
weather allow min 6hrs. Time taken over 5hrs is chargeable, unless of
course for bad weather, road or traffic conditions (as mentioned above).
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL YOUR VEHICLES
CARRY?
Sedan will carry 4 passengers, 3 in the rear and one
in the front.
Ford
Territory
can carry
up to 6 passengers. It has the advantage of being All Wheel
Drive, which means less travel time
as the probability of having to fit
snow chains is greatly reduced.
If carrying 6 passengers, then it is
recommended that two
of the passengers be
children who will fit in the
fold-out dicky seat in the rear, and
luggage trailer must be used.
We
can carry
up to 10 passengers in the rear of a limousine (depending on the
size of the stretch limousine).
CAN I BRING MY SKIS /SNOWBOARDS IN
YOUR VEHICLES?
YES and NO ! We
recommend hiring your skis &
snowboards on the mountain, this
will save you the cost & hassle of
transporting them, and also means
you will be able to hire the newest
and latest model season skis &
boards available, as well as
obtaining the full service that a
only an on-mountain ski hire centre
can provide.
We can provide roof racks for skis & boards on
SEDANS & TERRITORY AWD ONLY. Please let us know the number of skis / boards you intend
bringing with you. There is no charge for the roof rack. We can
also supply luggage trailer which can carry skis.
CARRIAGE OF SKI EQUIPMENT IN STRETCH LIMOUSINES -
CANNOT be safely carried in or on these vehicles, however - if you
intend bringing skis/boards then you must contact
us prior to making your booking.
HOW
MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING?
We allow for no more than 2 pieces of luggage per
person - this is one medium sized soft sports style bag and 1 hand luggage per
person. Please don't bring hard suitcases as this will restrict your
luggage capacity (THEY JUST DON'T FIT IN THE CAR !!). If you are in
doubt then hire the Territory with the Luggage trailer!
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED IN YOUR VEHICLES?
YES. We welcome families of all ages, and can supply a
child safety seat for small additional charge. We can supply booster
type seating free of charge, please let us know when booking if you
require this option. Limos & Territory are fitted with DVD systems and you
are more than welcome to provide your own DVD's and games for the kids to watch on
the way.
WHAT ABOUT IF WE WANT TO STOP
SOMEWHERE FOR LUNCH / DINNER or SHOPPING ?
If you do wish to stop along the way, you must let us know at time of booking. We do
charge for "waiting time" for the extra time involved, and
like to keep our vehicles running as close to schedule as
possible.
ALBURY-FALLS
service - is a direct non-stop transfer,
stop-overs are available at time of
booking only.
TULLAMARINE-FALLS
- The allocated 5 hour travel time,
allows for ONE 15 minute stop at
around the half way point.
Stopover can be in either Milawa for
lunch / Dinner (Food on Wood), or
Glenrowan McDonalds. You can
also book extra time when you make
your snow transfer booking.

HOW
DOES THE BOOKING SYSTEM WORK?
All
snow transfer bookings are made online via this website. Its as
easy as filling in your travel requirements and credit card details to make the booking. You
will then be emailed a tax invoice which is your CONFIRMATION OF
BOOKING. (Your credit card will not be processed if
there is no availability).
WHAT
HAPPENS IF I CANCEL MY BOOKING?
We
do not offer refunds on cancellations, however your booking is
transferable throughout the 2010 ski season, provided you have given us
the required 48hrs minimum cancellation notice.
We recommend taking out travel
insurance to cover any out of pocket expenses that may arise due to
cancellations.
